List Of Italian Olive Oils

There are many different types of Italian olive oils on the market.


Olive oil is a versatile ingredient that complements many different foods. Olive oil offers a number of health benefits; it is a source of monounsaturated fat, which protects against cardiovascular disease, according to Dr. Donald Hensrud of the Mayo Clinic. While olive oil is made in various locations around the world, there are many Italian olive oils to choose from. Tenuta Del Numerouno


Tenuta Del Numerouno is an unfiltered olive oil from the Numerouno estate on the western coast of Tuscany. There are seven varieties of olives that are grown on the estate from trees that are over 100 years old. It has a gentle but flavorful peppery taste, and because it is unfiltered it has a cloudy appearance due to the olive particles inside.


Castello Di Cacchiano


Castello Di Cacchiano is an unfiltered olive oil from a famous Tuscan winery. It is a blend of Moraiolo, Leccino, Pendolino and Correggiolo olives and has a nearly opaque appearance due to the many tiny particles of olive throughout. It has a mild, peppery, fruity and grassy taste. It works equally well when making bruschetta as it does on grilled chicken.


Capezzana


Capezzana is an extra virgin olive oil from the Tenuta di Capezzana estate in the province of Florence, which has made wines and olive oil for over 1,200 years. It is made primarily from Moraiolo and Frantoio olives, which are processed within 12 to 24 hours after picking by using a mild centrifugation technique. It has a soft, fruity and grassy taste. It works well over three-bean salads or in steamed potatoes.


Olio Agrumato


Olio Agrumato are citrus-flavored olive oils from the eastern coast of Italy. They are made from hand-picked olives that are pressed with organically grown lemons, oranges or tangerines. The Olio Agrumato olive oils and extra virgin olive oils are sold in a tall, thin bottle. This oil's flavorful taste complements seafood and pasta dishes.


Colonna Granverde


Granverde is an oil produced in the province of Campobasso in Molise, Italy. It's made with a blend of lemon zest from Sicily that's pressed with olives. It has a yellow color with a slight green tint. The taste is suitable with foods such as fish, squid, risotto, vegetables and salads.
