Use A Cuisinart Automatic Grind And Brew Coffee Maker

The Cuisinart Automatic Grind and Brew Coffee Maker is a high-end kitchen appliance that allows you to brew coffee from freshly ground beans. The grinder is part of the machine and brewing cycle. You do not need a separate grinder with the time and mess associated with it. You can also use the Grind and Brew with ground coffee. In addition, you can program brew times so that your coffee is already brewed in the morning when you wake up. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Plug in the machine and hold down either the "Hour" or "Minute" button on the control panel until the digits flash to set the clock. Use the same buttons to set the current time, making sure that "a.m." or "p.m." is reflected correctly. Press any other button to save the selected time or wait five seconds.

2. Hold down the "Program Set" button until the display flashes to set a time for the Cuisinart Grind and Brew to automatically start brewing your coffee. Press the "Hour" and "Minute" buttons to set the desired time. Press any other button to save or just wait five seconds.

3. Hold down the "On/Off" button until the display flashes to set the automatic shutoff time. Press either the "Hour" or "Minutes" button to set a time interval up to four hours after the completion of a brew cycle for your Grind and Brew to shut off automatically. Wait five seconds to save the information.

4. Soak a new charcoal water filter in water for 15 minutes. Remove the filter holder from the water reservoir and install the new filter. Run it under cold tap water for a few seconds and let it drain. Replace the holder in the coffee machine. Install a new water filter every 60 brew cycles.

5. Pour water into the reservoir for however many cups of coffee you wish. Do not pour in more than 12 cups of water or it will overflow.

6. Put enough whole bean coffee into the grinder hopper for the amount of coffee you desire. You can take the hopper basket out of the machine for this step by turning the hopper knob to the "Unlocked" position. Replace it after you add coffee beans. Make sure the hopper knob is in the locked position. Do not use more than 1/2 lb. of coffee or the grinder may jam.

7. Insert a #4 paper coffee filter or a Cuisinart permanent filter in the filter basket. Close the basket door.

8. Select the number of cups you wish to brew with the "Grind Control" knob. Select the strength of coffee with the "Strength Control" knob.

9. Place the carafe on the hot plate and press the "On" button to begin to brew coffee immediately. If you want to set the brew cycle to begin at a programmed time, press the "Program" button. The machine will beep five times when the brew cycle is finished. You can remove the carafe during the brew cycle for up to 20 seconds. Keeping it off any longer may overflow the filter basket.
