Wheat grass is full of vitamins and minerals, and has a reputation for curing and preventing disease. While there is a debate on just how healthy wheat grass really is, there is no denying that it is nutritious. Eating wheat grass is easy. Just blend it into a smoothie or make juice out of it. But before you can do that, you're going to need to know grow it. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Place wheat grass seeds in a jar. Fill the jar with room temperature water and let it sit by a window for 12 hours. The seeds will sprout during this time.
2. Combine top soil and peat moss into an equal mixture. Fill your seed tray, two inches deep, with this mixture.
3. Remove the wheat grass seeds from the jar. Drop the on top of the mixture in the seed tray. The seeds can touch, but don't pile them on top of each other.
4. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of peat moss.
5. Place the seed tray in indirect sunlight. This can be inside of a window that gets some sunlight, or outside on a deck or porch that is not getting full sun.
6. Water lightly twice a day.
7. Harvest your wheat grass when it has grown to about seven inches tall. This should take at least a week.
