Juice With Vita Mix

The Vitamix blends whole food juice from fruits and vegetables.

Some juicers will process the fruits and vegetables, then separate the pulp from the juice. The Vitamix pulverizes all the pulp with the juices to make whole food juice. This makes it easy to drink and easier for your body to process it. If you still want to separate the pulp from the juice, there are some simple ways to do this and get the tasty liquid you're after. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Wash and clean all the fruits and vegetables you intend to use and place them on a dry towel.

2. Add some ice into the blender to keep the juice cool and easier to drink.

3. Add the fruits and vegetables into the blender with their peel still on. If the fruit is large cut it into quarters to make it fit and blend easier.

4. Turn the machine on while the dial is in the lowest position and the switch is on low as well. Slowly increase power, making sure that the ice, fruits, and vegetables are catching into the blades. Add any other fruits, vegetables, or sweeters through the top access hole while machine is still on.

5. Replace the lid and continue to increase power. When there is a coarse, pulpy mixture of liquid and solid, increase the power to full and flip the switch from low to high.

6. Switch the machine back to low and the dial back to the lowest setting when the fruits and vegetables are liquified.

7. Turn off the machine.

8. Get out a colander and line it with cheese cloth. Place it over a large bowl or container for the juice. You can also use a strainer or sieve to function the same way.

9. Pour the liquid from the vitamix through the colander, strainer or sieve. The juice will pass through, leaving the pulp behind. If using a cheese cloth, put the sides together and squeeze out any excess juice left behind.

10. Pour juice into a glass and enjoy.
