Use Sweet Oil

Sweet oil is another name for olive oil.

Sweet oil is simply another name for olive oil, so-called because of its sweet flavor. Olive oil has numerous benefits, many of which originated in ancient times; in ancient Greece, athletes used it as a natural lubricant, rubbing it all over their bodies. Most people have a bottle of olive oil in their kitchen and use it on a daily basis for cooking (for example as an alternative to lard, butter or margarine when frying), however there are other, more surprising ways in which you can use sweet oil.

Instructions

1. Heat a cup of sweet oil in the microwave for 30 seconds. Use an ear dropper or pipette to apply several drops of it into the ear to ease the pain of earache. Dip a cotton swab in the warmed sweet oil and rub it gently around the outside ear cavity for the same result.

2. Apply generous amounts of sweet oil to your skin immediately after a bath to lock in moisture and keep your skin soft and smooth. Add a few drops of sweet oil to your bath for a moisturizing soak. Rub sweet oil onto chapped, cracked lips to soothe them. Place a bottle of sweet oil in the refrigerator; once chilled, apply it to sunburned skin for quick relief.

3. Pour sweet oil into two small finger bowls and soak your fingers for a couple of minutes to soften cuticles and condition your nails. Massage sweet oil into your hands for softer skin.

4. Coat the skin with sweet oil for an alternative to shaving cream that protects from nicks and cuts.

5. Drizzle a small amount of sweet oil onto your comb and run it through your hair to tame and detangle it. Rub a few tablespoons of sweet oil into your scalp and hair for a nourishing treatment that will leave your locks soft and silky.

6. Add 1 tbsp of sweet oil to a glass of water and drink it immediately before bedtime to coat the throat and help prevent snoring.

7. Mix two parts olive oil with one part lemon juice. Pour a few drops of the mixture onto a soft cloth and use it to wipe away dust, marks and fingerprints from wooden furniture. Rub olive oil into leather items, leave it for 30 minutes and then wipe it off to condition the surface.
