What Is Rose Oil Used For

A fragrant essential oil known for its antidepressant and antiseptic properties, rose oil has been also known to help relieve insomnia and nervousness. There are many different ways to experience the helpful properties found in rose oil. Does this Spark an idea?


Massage


Adding 25 drops of essential oil of rose to 2 ounces of almond or grape seed oil will produce a massage oil that is effective for therapeutic purposes. Using a massage oil that contains rose may help to bring female hormones back into balance.


Skincare Products


Added to many beauty and skincare products to help hydrate the skin, rose oil has also been known to repair broken capillaries and reduce skin inflammation.


Air Freshener


As minute amounts of essential oil quickly enter the bloodstream when inhaled, the therapeutic properties of rose oil may also be experienced through infusing the air with rose oil. To make a rose oil air freshener, add 25 drops of rose oil to 16 ounces of water. Pour into a spray bottle to mist into the air.


Respiratory Relief


Rose oil steams help to provide relief from respiratory infections and nausea, to name a few. Add 5 drops of rose oil to a bowl of steaming hot water. Place a towel over the head; lean over the bowl to inhale the steam for a few minutes.


Therapeutic Bath


To use rose oil in your bathwater, first take one cup of water. Add 8 drops of essential oil to it. Pour it into your bath.
