Make Your Own Natural Base Cream For Skin & Hair

Make Your Own Natural Base Cream for Skin & Hair

Keeping your skin and hair cleansed and moisturized is one of the easiest (and best) ways to get younger-looking skin. The drier the skin, the more prominent wrinkles and fine lines can look. The drier the hair, the prominent gray hairs will look. Keep your skin and hair healthy and hydrated all day long--and save some money while doing so. Many store purchased products can be expensive. Instead of buying expensive creams, make your own at home. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Skin Cream

1. Pour the water and the Borax into a glass bowl. Let the Borax powder dissolve.

2. Pour the oil and the beeswax into the small bowl, mixing together.

3. Pour water into a saucepan. Use just enough water so that it fills two inches of the bottom of the sauce pot. Place the bowl with the oil and beeswax into the water. Do not let water get into the bowl.

4. Turn up the heat on the saucepan so that the wax melts into the oil.

5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 with the water and Borax mixture until it is just about to boil. Do this in a separate pot.

6. Combine the water and Borax mixture with the oil and beeswax mixture. Stir the mixture together well. Allow the cream to cool down.

7. Apply the cream to your skin. Leave it on for several minutes, then wash it off with warm water.

Hair Cream

8. Place the shea butter into a glass bowl.

9. Put the bowl with the shea butter in it into the microwave. Microwave it in 20 second increments until it is completely melted.

10. Combine all of the other ingredients into the melted shea butter. Mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon.

11. Place the hair cream into the refrigerator overnight. Take it out the following day and leave it out until it is about room temperature.

12. Apply the cream to your hair and leave it in all day.
