Least Messy Way To Get Rid Of Ants

Clean up ant problems without making a mess.

Ants march one by one in an orderly fashion, but there is nothing orderly about waking up to an ant infestation in your kitchen or outside your front door. Liquid or aerosol pesticides can be harmful and sloppy. Eliminate ants the cleanest way with a treatment that is non-toxic, soft and silky to touch and can be cleaned up with your household vacuum. Treating ant problems with fossilized remains of microscopic shells, called Diatomaceous Earth, will leave your house cleaner after treatment than it was when the ants came marching in. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Apply Diatomaceous Earth to cracks and crevices in interior walls and areas where ants may be coming in from outside such as vents and interior door jambs.

2. Apply Diatomaceous Earth to interior carpets, upholstry and pet bedding.

3. Vacuuming removes the ant treatment, food particles and dead ants.

Leave the powder in place for an hour and then vacuum thoroughly.

4. Sprinkle Diatomaceous Earth outside around the foundation of your home, in spots where ants may be entering including door and window frames and directly on ant piles. It is safe to sprinkle by hand.

5. Keep your grass free of pests and ready for fun.

Cover large areas of the yard or walkways by spreading Diatomaceous Earth with a garden duster.

6. Reapply after a rain because the powder works by dehydrating ants and is only effective when dry.
