Tilapia is a healthy fish high in protein, which is white when cooked. Additional health benefits of tilapia include potassium and vitamin B-12, and it is low in calories and low in fat. There are numerous ways to prepare tilapia, and you can add different garnishes and sauces to put your own twist on a tilapia recipe. Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure the oven rack is in the center of the oven.
2. Spray the inside of the baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Or you can grease the dish with butter or margarine instead, if you prefer.
3. Place a dot of butter or margarine on each piece of tilapia using a spoon.
4. Pour the lemon juice over the fillets, distributing it evenly.
5. Sprinkle the fillets with garlic salt, covering each fillet equally.
6. Place the dish in the oven and bake the tilapia for roughly 30 minutes. The fish should be white in color and flake easily when tested with a fork.
