The solid parts of a food are often filled with fiber; blenders retain that fiber in the final item, but juicers separate the juice from the fiber. Fiber slows down digestion, and juices without fiber can deliver other valuable vitamins and nutrients without being slowed down by the digestive process. If you have digestion or stomach concerns, juicers may be more effective for limiting fiber intake.


Considerations


In addition to your intended use for the blender or juicer, concerns of storage and cost are also considerations when choosing the right appliance for your kitchen. High-quality juicers tend to be more expensive than blenders, though some high-quality blenders are comparable to the most expensive juicers in terms of price. If you want to have the capability to both blend and juice, you might purchase one of each. One concern is storage; both blenders and juicers take up counter and cabinet space because of their multiple parts. Another option is to choose a blender-juicer combination; although they tend to be expensive, they save space and time and provide the most functionality.
