Force Oneself To Eat Healthy Food And Exercise

Eating healthy and exercising are two of the best things a person can do for his health. People who have been unable to adopt a healthy lifestyle often have to force themselves to eat well and get enough exercise in order to live a better life.

Instructions

1. Review your health goals. Write down all of the health benefits you will get when you have adopted a healthier lifestyle. These may include less risk of cancer and diabetes and more energy for the things you enjoy.

2. Throw out all of your bad foods. If there are no unhealthy foods available, you will be forced to eat healthy ones. Don't allow yourself to eat out, or you will probably eat higher-calorie foods in larger portions.

3. Make exercise a part of your regular routine. Allow yourself some fun only after you have completed your exercises.

4. Use music, magazines or your favorite TV shows to make exercising more fun. Save your best shows and reading materials for your exercise time. Watching or listening to something you enjoy while working out will make the time go by faster.

5. Find healthy foods that you actually like. Don't give yourself any excuses to cheat on your new healthy diet. If there are plenty of tasty, nutritious foods available, there will be no reason to look outside your healthy-food stash for special treats.

6. Park far away from your destination every time you go anywhere. This forces you to get exercise each time you go out. Get into the habit of never taking elevators, and you will soon get exercise by regularly climbing flights of stairs.
