Make Lip Gloss With Natural Ingredients

Do you want soft, hydrated lips without all the chemical additives? Most likely you answered yes. So make your own and economical homemade lip gloss with a simple recipe.


Think about how many pounds of lipstick you consume over your lifetime. This thought alone may motivate you to experiment with homemade lip glosses using only pure essential oils and natural ingredients. The warm, pure, sweetly scented natural oils combined with soothing beeswax leave your lips smooth and creamy. And you get the added benefit of knowing exactly what your lip gloss is made of. Instructions


1. Place sweet almond oil, grated beeswax, honey, vitamin E oil and cocoa butter in a pan or other heat-proof container. Heat gently on low, stirring consistently, until the wax and oils are melted.


2. Stir in the essential oils of your choosing and mix well. Add the preferred oil or oils one drop at a time. Limit the total number drops to 10 to prevent an overpowering scent. Now is the time to experiment with combining several essential oils to create your unique and delicious new flavor.


A few essential oils to try are oils of lime, lemon, tangerine, grapefruit, peppermint, vanilla, rosemary and sweet birch.


3. Pour the mixture into the clean 1/2-ounce tins or similar containers and allow the gloss to cool completely before using it.
